Fareed Zakaria is host of CNN’s flagship international affairs show, “Fareed Zakaria GPS,” as well as a weekly columnist for The Washington Post. He is the author of four New York Times bestsellers, including Ten Lessons for a Post-Pandemic World. He was born in Mumbai, India, where he attended school. He graduated with a BA from Yale, where he was editor of the Yale Political Monthly. He earned an MA and PhD in government from Harvard. At the age of 28, he became the managing editor of Foreign Affairs. He is a contributing editor for the Atlantic Media Group, which includes The Atlantic Monthly. He’s been a columnist for Newsweek, editor of Newsweek International, and editor-at-large of Time. Since 2008, he has hosted “Fareed Zakaria GPS (Global Public Square),” which is the most popular show on CNN according to U.S. Television Database.
